Grand Piano Competition was viewed online by a 240 000 audience!

Internet platform for classical music videos Medici.tv streamed the Opening Gala (April, 30) the II Round (May, 3,4) and the Closing Ceremony (May, 5). During this period more than 240 000 viewers watched the competition. The Competition webcast hit the record of very high average time per visit of 58 minutes!

Music lovers from 126 countries and 2 787 cities of the world followed the Competition. Russian audience was the most active (22%) with the  USA on the second place (18%), then France (8%) and Canada (4%) to be followed by Georgia, Germany , Japan ( each 3 %), The UK , Ukraine and Spain (each 2%).

“I guess it's an amazing result in only 4 days webcast”, - says Hervé BOISSIERE, the Founder and Managing Director of Medici.tv. –“And we’re so honored to have been able to provide an international visibility to these fantastic talented young artists and support them in the beginning of their big careers”.

He also marked that the Competition has also aroused the huge buzz on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube,Weibo, with a total reach of 2,8 millions! 

According to Olga Zhukova, General director of ROSCONCERT Company, these figures prove  the new Competition’s success: Grand Piano Competition has almost turned into Tchaikovsky Competition analog. “In only 4 days our 15 contestants became a sensation and the Competition has gained the international authority and prestige. I am sure the Grand Piano Competition is marked with a good fortune: with each new contest we will discover new stars in the Galaxy of Piano Music”.
